    Zbiroh castle

A few weeks ago, I wrote about an exhibition we visited in the Zbiroh castle and this time I’d like to draw attention to the castle itself. When we arrived there, I was quite surprised to see how big it was and what a large park it was surrounded by. I looked up some information about the castle’s history for you and here are the most interesting pieces: The castle was built at the end of 12th century by a nobleman not by a king, which happened in Bohemia for the first time. The castle went through several architectural styles (Romanic, Gothic, Renaissance, New-renaissance) and the history of the castle…

    Exhibition

A few weeks ago I noticed an article in the back of a company bulletin promoting an exhibition called “Leonardo da Vinci’s Face – Story of the Order of the Knights Templar”. I love the castle with its beautiful garden and park and I like to come back from time to time. But I don’t remember being there in autumn… this might have been for the first time… and I was enchanted. The castle season ends on 31st October in the Czech Republic, and we came there on Saturday, the 30th. It was a nice afternoon. Quite cold but accompanied by…

    Nature trail by Nebílovy

At the end of March the weather started to be nicer with clear blue sky (at least from time to time), higher temperatures and more positive feelings. I and my husband wanted to go on a family outing and so we buried ourselves in Internet and maps to find an interesting target. We wanted to choose some shorter trail for the start and in the end I found out a suitable one in a brochure describing local nature trails. When Saturday came we packed cameras, drinks and snacks and set off after the dinner. The nature trail starts and ends in one place, by a castle in Nebílovy. The castle was unfortunately…
