    Lilac and wooden birdie

    Some time ago I took a photo of cut hydrangea in a vase placed by quite an ugly window, you could see it in my post Out of place. I decided to use the same vase and the same window for another out-of-place photo, this time with lilac and a little wooden bird that decorates my interior. Again, I was intrigued by the contrast between the beautiful flowers and the place.     Out of place

    Let me tell you right at the beginning that this post was inspired by a comment my friend Linda made on the previous post. She mentioned that the flowers in the photo seemed out of place in that setting and that they provided such a bright spot of colour in an otherwise dreary setting. When I was reading that comment, the words “out of place” stood out from the text in my mind and I had to think about them. I saw them in capitals.     Tagetes

    Sometimes your eye catches a glimpse of something that subconsciously attracted your attention but at the moment you’re unable to say what exactly it was. It happened to me with these tagetes. There was something in that place that one day told me to stop and feel it and frankly, I just felt confused. It was a very strong perception. I came with a camera a day or two later, tried to capture the essence of that perception and got this result.
