  1. At first my eyes were attracted to the design on the hat, but like a piece of art I studied it for a minute or two …
    the direction of the eyes, hand over the mouth but more importantly what makes the image harmonise with the title for me is the close crop. I'm so pleased that you left some of the ear in. It's like trying to look inside his head. Good work.

    1. J, thank you, I’m pleased you like the photo. The hat seems quite prominent, that’s true, but I think that it is important in the capture. It helps to lead one’s sight along several diagonals which are either parallel or perpendicular to one another and I like that geometry.

  2. You managed to capture one of those elusive moments in this image, Petra. To me, he looks as if he's studying a puzzle, trying to figure out how to solve it. Love those eyelashes! Why is it that boys, who couldn't care less about such things, always seem to get the beautiful eyelashes that girls would love to have? Great capture.
